BloodCenter of Wisconsin has invited Racine blood donors to an appreciation event featuring Green Bay fullback John Kuhn.
The blood donors are winners of BloodCenter’s Run Your Route Challenge. The challenge was a friendly competition between BloodCenter’s donor locations for the highest turnout of donors between Nov. 19 and Jan 13. More than 1,000 donors “ran their route” to the Racine donor center to donate blood – the best turnout in the state.
The invitation-only event will take place Thursday, April 11, at the Fountain Banquet Hall in Sturtevant. Kuhn will address the guests and personally thank them for their life-saving gifts. Additionally, Kuhn will pose for group photographs with the guests. There will be a tailgate-style dinner and a drawing for Packers memorabilia.
BloodCenter is grateful to the thousands of donors for the life-saving gifts they contributed at all of its donor center locations during the challenge. Their donations help children and adults who need blood for surgeries, cancer treatments and other life-saving measures.
